Publication Plan

Title: The Alternative

Positioning Statement: Music, how it could be.

Frequency of Publication: Monthly

Price: £2.50

Distributuion: New agents, supermakets, music shops, music venues.

Rationale: The approach of the magazine draws in the attention of indie fans and captures and real sence of music from the indie culture. It will consist of opinions of professional journalists and the public, to give varied opinions and facts on offer. The magazine deviates from other music magazines in the way that the informalities of the magazine can very much relate to the reader in a more personal way, which i think, the public will love.

Style: The style will be informal, factual and humours; however it is a serious magazine. It is an indie magazine so the vocabulary will be fairly simple yet straight forward. It will include slang and jargan to apply to the whole target audience (16-25).

The picture above will be my front cover. However the framing of the shot is not good enough to use. I will be taking this image again and framing it differently so that my magazine can get it's full potential.
